Is Bag to Flag free?
Yes. A free account lets you plan one course a month, use GPS yardages on the course and log your rounds. Members get unlimited plans and the extras, for £4.99 a month or £39 a year, with a 7-day free trial.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Open any course as a guest and plan it straight away. As a guest, everything stays on your device. Create a free account to keep your bag and plans on your phone and computer.
Is there an app?
Bag to Flag runs in your phone's browser, so there's nothing to download. Open bagtoflag.com on your phone and add it to your home screen, and it opens like an app.
Which courses are on Bag to Flag?
2,592 courses across England, Scotland and Wales, and 1,810 of them have their holes mapped. More countries are coming. Search all courses.
How does it work out the plan?
It uses your distances and the typical shot spread for your handicap (or your own, if you add it), then simulates each shot many times on the mapped hole. It picks the club and target that leave you the fewest shots, and shows you the odds.
How accurate are the course maps?
Holes are mapped from OpenStreetMap and height data, and checked against the scorecard. If something on your course is wrong, you can fix it in the course editor.
What happens after the 7-day free trial?
Your Members plan starts at £4.99 a month or £39 a year, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
